About Me
Dr. Krivak specializes in treating ovarian, uterine and other gynecologic cancers and has particular expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques, as well as non-invasive surgical options.
Dr. Krivak received his medical degree at Ohio State University College of Medicine and performed his residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in California. He completed his fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC and at the National Cancer Institute, Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Krivak is board-certified by the American Boards of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.
His research interests include defining the role of surgery for women with ovarian cancer, the evaluation of patients’ genetics in response to chemotherapy and cost-effective evaluation of treatments of gynecologic malignancies.
Dr. Krivak is co-chair of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, a preeminent national research institute. He is also active in annual research meetings for women’s cancer and has given numerous lectures. He is a member of the Gyneocologic Oncology group and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. In addition to his more than 75 peer reviewed publications, Dr. Krivak serves on the editorial board for Gynecologic Oncology and is an active peer reviewer for multiple professional journals. He is actively involved in clinical trial development for personalized cancer care.
Dr. Krivak’s is on staff at West Penn Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital and Saint Vincent Hospital. He is accepting new patients.
