About Me
<p>Nicole E. Funt, MPAS, PA-C, is a highly experienced Physician Assistant with 20 years of expertise in patient care. She joined Mt. Lebanon Dermatology, PC in July 2005, where she has been a vital member of the dermatology team. Nicole’s clinical journey began after she graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in 1999.</p>
<p>Nicole's background includes extensive experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, having spent six years at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she honed her ability to provide critical care in high-pressure situations. Additionally, she worked in the Emergency Department at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, further expanding her skill set in acute patient care.</p>
<p>Nicole is passionate about academic medicine and has contributed to the development of future healthcare providers. She completed an online teaching fellowship in 2002 and served as Adjunct Faculty at Chatham University from 2002 to 2003. She continued her academic role as Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at Chatham University until 2005, where she shared her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of Physician Assistants.</p>
<p>Outside of her professional life, Nicole resides in Mt. Lebanon with her husband, Matthew, their children Harrison, Adeline, and Emma, and their dogs E.J. and Lilly. She values spending quality time with her family and continues to prioritize a healthy, active lifestyle.<br />
