About Me

Peter Tang, MD is the Director, Division of Hand, Upper Extremity, & Microvascular Surgery Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. He received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical School and completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship and orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received his Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in Longwood, Mass.

Dr. Tang is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and New York Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Tang currently serves as an Annual Meeting Program Committee Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He has numerous academic achievements and awards including The Charles S. Neer, MD, Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Tang is Associate Professor, Drexel University College of Medicine.
