About Me

Dr. Prajeena Mainali is a graduate of the University of Virginia, studying Advance Biomedical Sciences at Georgetown/George Mason University. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, Virginia and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Louisville. She is Board-certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Mainali served as President of the University of Virginia Chapter of the Nepalese Student Association as an undergraduate. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Medical Women’s Association, serving as President of the VCOM Chapter during her medical training. Dr. Mainali has participated in international medical missions, has volunteered and taught in community free clinics, and has contributed to the medical literature.

Dr. Mainali is an advocate of preventive medicine and wellness for patients 6 years and older. She is a member of Prima CARE’s Millview Medical practice at 203 Plymouth Avenue (Building 7 on the main Prima CARE campus). Dr. Mainali accepts most insurances and admits her patients to Steward-Saint Anne’s Hospital.

She is fluent in English, Nepali, and Hindi.
