About Me
Khalid J. Malik, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. He received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Malik completed his residency in internal medicine at the Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, Md., and completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown, W.Va.
Dr. Malik is a member of numerous academic and professional committees at Allegheny General Hospital including the Infectious Disease, Pharmacy and Therapeutics committees and the Curriculum and Competency committees for Allegheny General Hospital’s Pulmonary Fellowship Program.
He is board-certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine (Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine). Dr. Malik holds professional affiliations with the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, American College of Physicians, British Medical Association and the British Thoracic Society. He has received numerous academic achievements and awards including the Investigator of the Year Award and Margaret J. Albrink Research Award.
