About Me
<p>A Bucks County Pennsylvania native, Dr. McDaid completed his undergraduate and medical education in Philadelphia. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from LaSalle University, and received his doctorate from Temple University at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. During his residency he was privileged to work under many nationally renowned orthopaedic experts at the Shriners Hospital for Children, The Philadelphia Hand Center and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He completed his Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at the distinguished University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During his training, Dr. McDaid was twice recognized by his colleagues for his clinical excellence and interpersonal skills by awarding him the Louis B. Schatz Memorial Award and the Frank Hammond Sivitz Memorial Award.</p>
<p>As a 1st generation physician, Dr. McDaid appreciates the vital role he plays in his patients’ lives and understands the importance of helping patients return to their daily activities. He enjoys being an active community participant by volunteering his service at area medical clinics, speaking at medical conferences, and being involved at local schools. Dr. McDaid firmly believes that being personally invested in our community greatly enhances the care he provides.</p>
<p>Dr. McDaid finds the practice of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery extremely rewarding. He particularly enjoys interacting with patients of all ages, occupations and interests. His practice at OAA is focused on hand trauma, arthritis, reconstructive surgery, adult and pediatric fracture treatment, and nerve compressions. With the assistance of the OAA Hand Institute team, Dr. McDaid is proud to provide the most comprehensive treatment for upper extremity disorders in the region.</p>
