About Me
Dr. Shanjin Cao is a Board-certified Internal Medicine physician who is a member of Prima CARE's Hospital Medicine team.
Dr. Cao received his Medical Degree from Hebei Medical University in Shijiazhuang, China, and completed his Residence in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in Mt. Vernon, New York. In addition to his career in clinical medicine, Dr. Cao distinguished himself as an award-winning medical researcher with a PhD from Beijing Medical University, a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Cornell University, and a Research Professorship at the University of Maryland, all prior to joining Prima CARE.
Dr. Cao is devoted to delivering high-quality, evidence-based primary care to his patients. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cao specializes in the care of hospitalized patients as at Saint Anne’s and Charlton Memorial Hospitals as a member of the Prima CARE Hospitalist Division.
