About Me
Dr. Klapper is a recognized leader in the field of urogynecology, female urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, minimally invasive gynecological surgery and pelvic support disorders. At New York Downtown Hospital, he also served as director of urogynecology, director of the hospital’s center for female incontinence and pelvic health, and director of the departmental residency program.
Dr. Klapper received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency at New York University Medical Center. Prior to joining New York Downtown Hospital, Dr. Klapper was Director of Gynecology, Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, and Director of the Center for Female Continence and Pelvic Health at Beth Israel Medical Center.
His research and publications focus on finding the most effective ways to help women deal with sensitive and often debilitating problems such as interstitial cystitis, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse.
