About Me
Gary L. Schmidt, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon at Allegheny Health Network. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine at the Pennsylvania State University, he subsequently completed his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Schmidt completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital and completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Charlotte Spine Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Schmidt serves on the Medical Executive Committee at West Penn Hospital and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine.
