About Me
Darren A. Frank, MD, is Associate Director, Division of Sports Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. He received his medical degree from MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Frank is a member of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Orthopaedic Association, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Allegheny County Medical Society. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Frank currently serves as Associate Director at AGH of Sports Medicine and is Head Orthopaedic Team Physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club. He is the team physician for Montour High School and Slippery Rock University’s Department of Athletics. Dr. Frank is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Temple University School of Medicine and a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine.
