About Me
Michael J. Seel, MD, is Director, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at West Penn Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in general and orthopaedic surgery at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Ill.
Dr. Seel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Seel currently serves as Medical Director of the Institute for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery and is Chairman for the Board of Directors of The Anna Seethaler Hospital in Oaxaca, Mexico. He has also received numerous academic achievements and awards including the Paul P. Griffin Scientific Paper Award.
