About Me
Sandra El-Hachem, MD, is section head of integrative medicine, department of medicine. She earned her medical degree from American University of Beirut in Lebanon and is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and also completed fellowships in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. El-Hachem joined the Allegheny Center for Digestive Health in 2013 and will direct Women’s Healthin inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. El-Hachem is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, where she also serves as an elected member of the Professional Education Committee.
