About Me
Timothy J. Sauber II, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement as well as young adult hip reconstruction. He has special interest in hip resurfacing, partial knee replacement, as well as robotically assisted joint replacements. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in integrated life sciences at Kent State University, he completed his medical degree at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Allegheny County Medical Society, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Sauber serves as a Residency Representative for the Adult Reconstructive Service at AGH with responsibilities that include the organization didactic curriculum, essential reading, introduction/service exit interviews and interactive educational meetings with residents and fellows. Dr. Sauber serves as the principal investigator for an AGH sub site of NIH funded HEALTH trial. He is a member of the orthopaedic research committee. He runs the orthopaedic intern clinical mentoring program at AGH where he serves as a clinical mentor for first year residents.
